Thanksgiving–A time for family to be together and share a meal and visit. This year was very good for me. My son was home and my daughter and her husband and his parents and grandma were here to celebrate this day. My son hasn’t been home at thanksgiving for about 10yrs. It was great to share that with him. We all had a great time together and watched some football and played games.
We also had christmas on the Sunday after as my son won’t be here and we like to celebrate that time together. So we went out on Friday and got a tree and then we decorated it and played christmas music while decorating. It was a lot of fun. We had a great time together and celebrated on Sunday like it was Christmas Day. We still had turkey left over so that was easy to do. My daughter and her husband and I will still celebrate christmas together and do some gift exchange. This has been a different year but alot of fun. I will look forward to going and seeing my son at his place somtime in the near future.
I hope and pray that all of you who read this have a great holiday season and take time to spend it with family and friends.
Christ is the reason that we celebrate this time of year. I pray that all of you find a personal relationship with him as he is always there with us no matter where we are or what we are going through. Jesus is always waiting to hear from us and is always there to listen. He has our lives planned for us and knows what is best for us even if we don’t think that he answered the way we wanted him to. It is not our will but his will that we need to follow.
Wow, sister!
What a good message as well as a wonderful “share” of your family and life.
I am glad I took a few to check in this morning.
Thanks for bringing the soup by. LOL! You saved dinner. I am nauseous already from the med I took just before you came by. I had to up my meds and they already kept me feeling ill all the time.
I am ingnoring it as long as I can and trying hard to get this place in order enough for Gene. I hope he is coming home today!
Love you so much, my friend. I am so proud of you in so many ways and for so many things. I can’t express how much.
Good Blog mom. You are a good writer. Keep Blogging! I had a great time at Thanksgiving/Our Christmas with Danny. I wish he were still here! Love you mommy.
I am so glad you have decided to blog! It’s a great way to update friends & family and is like a journal that you can look back on & reflect on the past. I love it so far and I hope you are a reader of mine! It was great to hear about your Thanksgiving from you & Di! That’s great that Danny got to visit and that you had a nice time! I celebrated Christmas with my family last year on Thanksgiving, but this year we will be there on Christmas day! Well, stay in touch! Love you!
Wow! What a great blog, Linda! I tried leaving you comments before but it wouldn’t let me. You did a great job with testimony and sharing Jesus with anyone who cares to see this.
I loved the pics of your place on Diane’s blog, Linda. You need to have her help you get some photos up on yours.
I am so sorry for your grief and pain, and your daughter’s and I am praying for you all, and am here for you. Gene is being kicked out of the hospital as soon as his blood levels stay up (more transfusions today) and will have to go to rehab or convalescent for a while. This will put him closer to home and I can be there more for you all as well. We will just hang on to each other, you and I, okay? After visiting our people, we can hang at your place once in a while.
I am carrying you in my heart.
Love you so much.
Hi, again Linda.
Gene is in Twin Oaks in rm. 303A. He gets confused sometimes from the meds. Overall he is diong pretty well today. At least he is closer to home and I can get a piece of my life back. It is hard to hang in hospitals all day and evening. Nothing gets done and you are exhausted anyway. You know how it is.
Myke starts Kidney Dialysis 3 times a week this coming week and has to resign his job. He is devastated.
And you and your baby in the shape life has hit you with…
When it rains it pours, doesn’t it?
I am so glad we have Jesus and know His love for us and His eye is on us at all times. I don’t know how people do it who don’t have the Lord to lean on. I really don’t.
I love you and you keep hanging in there, sister. I will see you soon.
Hi Mom,
Can’t wait for you to start blogging again! Miss you and love you!
