A New Year

An evening with Matthew West

This was a great way to start off the New Year. I Love Matthew West music and it was an awesome way on how we were able to get tickets. When I called Klove the receptionist was very pleasant and offered to look up the church number for me. So thanks to her courtesy, I was able to get tickets for us. When I called there were only three tickets left and they were only VIP tickets which were 15 dollars more than general admission. This allowed us to get in an hour early and then we were allowed to have him sign the CD we bought.

He is very humble and very good. I very much enjoyed the evening with my daughter. It is awesome to go to a christian concert and hear their heart and what God has done and is doing.

I am praying that this is a better year for health and being able to reach out to others as Christ has told us to do as christians. I also pray that this will be a more peaceful year for our nation.

Where Am I?

Well by my picture you can guess that I am having fun. We will see if any of you who comment on this will know where I am. I am on vacation and enjoying my family. The three of us are enjoying our last trip together before Danny gets married. I wish the best for Danny and Elika. We get along great so I am not worried about that.

Tomorrow I am shopping for Diane’s Birthday and baking a cake for her and then we are going to get our nails and feet done. This should be a lot of fun. Danny will be back in the evening and we will all celebrate together and go out to dinner.

Last night we went to dinner at a resturant that was featured on the food channel called Diners,Drive-Ins and Dives. This one was called “Q”. It was just a little hole in the wall type place but good food. It is neat to get to go some place that is talked about on a show and say you’ve been there if it comes up again.

I am enjoying being on vacation. It is nice to get away from the everyday routine of work and cleaning the house as we all do everyday. The weather hasn’t been that great but hopefully today it won’t be as bad as yesterday. It rained off and on all day.

I am missing my grandson and my other daughter and can’t wait to see them when I get back. I also miss my cats and they miss me too.

Elika will arrive here on Thursday night and that will be fun to see her. We will go shopping on Friday and then drive home and decorate the church that night for the Wedding shower on Saturday. This is so real. I can’t believe that my baby is getting married. He has waited for the right one to come along and now they have found each other. They are very happy together  and can’t wait til they are married in August to get their lives started together.

MICHIGAN

It is very nice to be here with my son. We are having a great time together and also his girlfriend Elika. We have gon to the mall and dinner and also went to a Lugnuts Game yesterday. it is like our Outlaws in Chico. It was a lot of fun and the game was exciting. It sprinkled on us and thought it was really going to rain but didn’t. It was really sunny out and then the clouds came and then it cooled off a little. the high was only 69 degrees. It is supposed to be 79mtoday. i need to get to bed as it is 3am. I want to get up and go shopping today by myself while my son is working. I will pick him up at work and then we will go to dinner together. It will be just the tow of us as Elika has things to do until later tonight. She will come over when she is done and we will play cards.

I went through a very hard month before comming out here. I am now feeling well and no pain. It is all owed to God and the doctor I finally got to see. This taught me alot about our obedience to God and trusting him for everything. It is hard when you can’t get out of bed because of pain. So I spent alot of time in the word with god in prayer. God always has promised that he will never leave us nor forsake us. I know this first hand. For all of my friends and family i thank you for allof your prayers and help.

As I commented before Love your family and enjoy them as you never know what tomorrow may bring.

I hope and pray that all of you enjoy the summer what is left of it. It seems to go by so fast.

Summertime

Yeah! The hot weather is good for me. I look forward to swimming and having fun.

For now my couch is my best friend. I have spent more time in the last two weeks in bed than I ever have. I am not well right now and not sure what is going on right now but hopefully will find something out on Friday with my specialist appointment. I am trusting in God to keep me in his arms and help me get through this week and be able to do the things I need to do.

I praise God for my good friends that I can call on them for help. My daughter isn’t here right now so I am relying on them to help me as I need it. My pastor has stayed in touch with me as well. It is hard for me to rely on people as I am used to helping others rather than calling on people to help me.

I am looking forward to going and seeing my son in MI. So I want to get better and be able to enjoy my time with him. I haven’t been to MI before so it will be a different place to go and see.  I want to be able to do things for him that I enjoy doing as I don’t get to see him everyday.

I will try to write more during this summer. Life is slower now and not as busy as it is when I am working 2 jobs and trying to keep things up at home.

Enjoy your family while you can as you never know what tomorrow may bring. I have lost to many people that I love and care about.

JUST FOR FUN

WELL IT IS THURSDAY AND I PLAN ON GOING HOME AND GETTING ALOT OF THINGS DONE. I ALREADY HAVE BUT THERE IS STILL MORE TO DO. I AM AT WORK AND WILL BE HERE UNTIL  FIVE PM.

i GOT TO HAVE SAMMI AND DYLLAN OVER LAST NIGHT. IT WAS A LOT OF FUN TO HAVE A BABY IN THE HOUSE. WE PLAYED AND HE ENJOYED IT. THE CATS WERE UNSURE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON. THEY KEPT SNIFFING THE PACK AND PLAY. THEY WOULD LOOK AT DYLLAN AND BE A LITTLE JEALOUS AS I WAS HOLDING HIM AND NOT PLAYING WITH THEM ESPECIALLY ONYX.

WELL MUST GO AND GET SOMETHING DONE.

SF VACATION

So I had a great four days away with my children. We stayed in SF as my son is there for his reserve duty. it is great to go to the piers and be able to shop and just walk around. I am now getting hooked on having my computer to play on in bed. How bad is that?

Thought I would blog again as I haven” done this in awhile. I am enjoying having fun with all my added kids and thier kids who I get to be Grandma to. So now I need to child proof my house again. But worth it.

I also have to have my house in order as my son is bringing home his gitlfriend this weekend.  I am looking forward   to meeting her. We have talked on the phone and she seems really sweet.

I love to get away with my childreb and make memories. We always have a lot of fun together. Elika has already accepted a challenge to a card game. Elika is Dannys girlfriend.

I have been so busy working that the  break was nice. So back to work and allis well.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving–A time for family to be together and share a meal and visit. This year was very good for me. My son was home and my daughter and her husband and his parents and grandma were here to celebrate this day. My son hasn’t been home at thanksgiving for about 10yrs. It was great to share that with him. We all had a great time together and watched some football and played games.

We also had christmas on the Sunday after as my son won’t be here and we like to celebrate that time together. So we went out on Friday and got a tree and then we decorated it and played christmas music while decorating. It was a lot of fun. We had a great time together and celebrated on Sunday like it was Christmas Day. We still had turkey left over so that was easy to do.  My daughter and her husband and I will still celebrate christmas together and do some gift exchange. This has been a different year but alot of fun.  I will look forward to going and seeing  my son at his place somtime in the near future.

I hope and pray that all of you who read this have a great holiday season and take time to spend it with family and friends.

Christ is the reason that we celebrate this time of year. I pray that all of you find a personal relationship with him as he is always there with us no matter where we are or what we are going through. Jesus is always waiting to hear from us and is always there to listen. He has our lives planned for us and knows what is best for us even if we don’t think that he answered the way we wanted him to. It is not our will but his will that we need to follow.

A Hard Day

Today has been a long day.  My daughter endured yet another surgery for the pain shehas been in for about 11years.  We are praying that this is the last for a very long time. She needs the break from waking up in pain and going to bed in pain. 

I spent the day with her to help with getting her settled in at home to making sure to get her up when needed and back tothe couch. She was sleeping when I left and her husband was there to care for her. My phones are at my side so just in case they need me I will be there.  I wil do anything for my children and I always will as long as I am able.

God has seen me through good and bad times and I know that he is in control at all times. You just wonder sometimes why? You may even wonder if it is worth it to go on. We all know that God doesn’t give up on us but sometimes we give up on him. He is always there to pick us up and carry us even though we may not feel it. I know that God will see me through anything and I must trust him. This may not always be easy but I have to.

I will write more later but for now I must rest and keep moving at the same time.

Settleing In

It is hard work to get everything just how you want it. I am getting there and it is coming along. I love my house and the peace and quiet that I have. I am looking forward to the holidays. It will be a lot of fun. I am hosting Thanksgiving this year in my new home. I love to cook and make things. The holidays always makes you want to bake and have fun with family and friends.
